Summer Shrimp Rice Bowl Recipe

Need something on the lighter side of the dinner plate, say on a warm spring day? This shrimp rice bowl recipe will do the trick. Brown sugar and soy sauce are balanced perfectly by garlic and chili flakes. Follow the easy instructions below for a healthy fare, and be sure to save room for dessert!

  • 1 T Soy Sauce
  • 3 T Mirin
  • 1 T Brown Sugar
  • 1 T chili garlic paste
  • 3 T Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger-minced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 4 servings rice
  1. Combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, chili paste and 1 T. sesame oil in bow and set aside. In a pre-heated pan, add the other 2 T. of oil. Add carrots, snap peas, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Add reserved stir fry sauce and cook for additional 1 minute. Serve over rice.
